Max/MSP 5 workshop by Nick Rothwell

This is a three-day workshop aimed at musicians and media artists who are beginners with MaxMSP, or who are familiar with MaxMSP version 4 and wish to learn about what`s new in Max 5. Topics include dataflow programming, message passing and processing, user interface design, basic digital synthesis and sample manipulation, data storage and retrieval, and debugging and problem solving. Day 1 will be for beginners only, and is intended to provide an introduction to Max programming and MSP digital audio. Days 2 and 3 will follow on from the material covered in Day 1, and will cover features which are new in Max 5 or which have changed dramatically since Max 4. This workshop will not cover Jitter, and will not go into detail of advanced synthesis or sound processing techniques.
