Hey Topher thanks for the answer. 1. There's no emergency. Answer when you have time to do it. I'm sorry if this point wasn't clear... 2. concerning the [conformpath] & MaxSystem.nameConform() : the bug does not appear with [conformpath]. 3. concerning the suggestion of a nativePathToMaxPath function, I'll wait for you to check my patch (lots of explanations where in it actually). Steps to reproduce : * create a sound file that has more than 32 characters (I already know the workaround thanks ;) ) * open your preferred max-style filebrowser : yours * browse to the right path and select the sound file you've just created and try to open it in sfplay~ or buffer~ * phone me back ;) Leo
