[jitter] sending keypresses out to control dvd playback

I'd like to send keypress data out of Jitter to control other programs. Namely, I'd like to have Jitter activate the "skip to next scene" function on my dvd player program, which is mapped to the right arrow key. Is this possible? Any workarounds? I'm on a macbook pro. Thanks for your help.
