[jitter] can't get more than 30fps with jit.qt.grab (unibrain Firei 501c / AVT guppy)

I'm trying to use a unibrain Firei 501c and a AVT guppy with  
jit.qt.grab at their maximum frame framerate : 60fps ; both work very  
well at 60 fps in Reactivision, but in max/jitter, no way to get more  
than 30 fps.

qmetro 2 --> jit.qt.grab @vmode 1 @unique 1 --> 30fps
or
qmetro 2 --> jit.qt.grab --> jit.change --> 30fps

???
quicktime fps limitation ?
???

[macbook pro 2.33 / macosX.4.1 / quicktime 7.3 / Jitter 1.6.3 ...]

any advice welcome...
