It was very common when bootcamp initially came out for it to have  
subpar performance in certain configs - sata disk IO being one of  
those areas, 3gb /switch, etc. which is why I remembered :P Just  
google "bootcamp sata" and you get results about performance issues.  
With clean/newer installs it should not be an issue, but, theres that  
'should' again :)
