Hi, I'm new (still) and drowning ;) I'm attempting to get two daisychained unibrain firewire cameras to be recognized by jitter but no luck. The only thing I can think of that could be the cause is that they are going through a Belkins Firewire Expresscard Adaptor via pci-slot (my pc laptop only has a 4pin firewire adaptor, so I use this for the 6 pin) and maybe that's why it's not recognized? Doesn't seem to affect my soundcard though. Thing is I really want to connect this way if possible as it's much more secure, the 4pin easily pops out if you nudge it...not good during performances. The camera's are recognized by my computer elsewhere though. Am I missing something terribly obvious? Thanks, Bill ps running windows xp home, on one year old laptop, 2 gig ram, 2.33 gighrz, running max/msp 4.6.3 and jitter 1.6.2.
