Thank you Stefan, that's very elegant!

We have the problem that stopwatches are given low priority - I haven't yet tried yours, Stefan, but other versions do not keep accurate time, when running parallel to other operations.

At this point we are using separate (unconnected) laptops, and cueing the start of electronics, and the start of the remote stopwatch, simultaneously. Of course they will never exactly be in synch this way. Does anyone have experience with this problem, or with a solution?
