[maxmsp] .AIF repair help needed

Hello to all users of the Cycling forums/list,

I seem to have got myself into a spot of bother:

Last night I recorded a live set (2 channel, 16-bit, .aif) using sfrecord~ which I was really quite happy with. I try and open it today and it doesn't work. There's 162mb of information there, but I just can't get at it. Bad news.

I've searched the net and this here forum for answers. Things I have tried in order to rescue the file:

Soundhack header change - nothing appears to happen
sfplay~ "openraw" - max crashes when trying to preview the file
iRecordmusic - the program refuses to open it as it wasn't created by iRecordmusic
Thonk - haven't currently got access to classic - am using uni computers and couldn't find the file to download on the website either

All in all, I'm pretty stuck. Any help people could give me I would be more than grateful.
