[maxmsp] What does this program do?

Although MaxMSP is mostly designed and used to produce real time  
music and video,  it can be considered as a computer language in  
graphic mode.

Actually some people use it occasionally for different purpose.
Its ability to deliver standalone applications  from any patch makes  
it a convenient solution to write small programs.
