[maxmsp] max and Live

Yeah I see that.  The first patch I'm doing is an audio generating patch.
So not a synth or effect.  However I left out both the first go ...i.e #C
synth .  It didn't work.  So just rebuilt and put in #C effect. Hopefully
that will do the trick.  The tutorial online might be a tad out of date

collective", yet I don't seem to have that option.  So I'm doing a build but
took the build .dll vst as the first go.
