don't know what you are refering to, but afaik this ist not correct.
successive ffts don't know nothing about their neighbours.
to calculate the phase difference between successive frames, e.g. for  
use in
phase-vocoder like applications, you would have to use something
like [framedelta~] in maxmsp.
