[maxmsp] help please

Hi....I'm building a "sampler" that's triggered by a bang...that comes from
a color tracking patch...i have a flow of X values always running to a split
and from that split i get the bang that starts the line that starts the
play~ ...
I have a buffer~ and a play~ and a line connected to play~.....my question
is...How can i make shure that during the time the sample is playing there's
no other bang triggering it again. like a way to say stop banging...(i
tryied with a switch and it's almost that but it's not very reliable..
