Why not record it to hard drive from within max, using sfrecord~? It works fine. You can either use multiple sfrecords for separate tracks, or use a single sfrecord~ to record many tracks. Be aware that if you do the latter, you'll need a way fo splitting up the resultant file into separate tracks for your sequencer of choice.
