[maxmsp] Would buddy override delay

I have a little patch (still learning) .
I have a bang , which inputs into the left inlet of a delay, in the right
inlet of delay there's a number box to set the delay in milliseconds.
The outlet of delay goes to a noteout.  Seems that delay is not being
recognized.  Any suggestions ?
