[maxmsp] why we will not use max 5

Well, Im not sure how this will really effect your work. The claims
were all about functional aesthetics. I really dont see anything in
the Max 5 GUI that is will actively interfere with your being able to
effectively patch.

And, really, these claims are all complete speculation until

a) max 5 is out
b) you use it - and get used to it. Only then can you compare.

If you use Max 5 and have actual issues of not being as productive as
you were in max 4, then, id say you have a point (assuming your
ability isnt marred by your unwillingness to adapt to Max 5s new
paradigms).

I can see how people can not like rounded corners, but making the
claim it effects your ability to do work, in my opinion is a bit
sensationalist.

What about Quartz Composer users, I dont see them screaming for square
corners, they dont even have the ability to have more than one joint
in a patch coord!

Or Plogue Bidule users?

:)
