It seems to be that the third value is only activ on the y-axis. And it
seems the driver will not allow to change all three at the same time. 
Its either x + 3rd or y + 3rd.
I once had a driver for the pad which would also give a z value, for 
pressure, but that's long ago, maybe OS 9 days...

The pad seems much more powerful than the connection to the OS...
