It's a feature, not a bug. ;) unless and until Apple gives Mail a "Paste Special" command or something you'll have to paste into a text editor, re-copy, and paste into Mail to get the text of a patch. You might be able to skip that step by using Quicksilver or some clipboard utility. Dunno.
