Cool, mates. Don't take it personnally. It was no judgement. I just
personnaly, actually, don't like much turntables in general. I'm glad
you people like it and i honestly liked a lot of things made with (but i
swear i don't listen to my Terre Thaemlitz records anymore). And i've
done things with too. Nevertheless, yes, we certainly had to bear
turntables everywhere this last decade. As we are tortured by rnb in
drugstores, and as we, french people, will have to stay cool while our
president ridiculously do his jogging with a nypd shirt for the next 5
years.

"Cold Virgin" was a horrible homemade translation of "vierge
éffarouchée". I'm sure i've heard the correct expression last night in
an old Wild Palms episode but i didn't remember. I meant i'm really
pissed off we can't say "stupid turntablism" without beeing called names
these days. And as we're fed with djs to death, i could also have said :
"kill the djs". Because i care less of Hawtin when he plays records than
when he plays with a 909 and a bunch of fx, even if he's still very good
at playing records.

But this was not the point. I was mostly discussing about innovative
interfaces in general, and the fact that, while offering cool new
features, i'm disapointed they often stay a gadget. We can now stop this
troll of mine.
