[maxmsp] Max/MSP with new Dual Core Mac Pro

Hi,

Just try to get any advice from here. I have a new Mac Pro Dual Core 2.66. I made patch which has already used a lot of CPU utilities (around 60%~70%).......but I still need to record it back by "sfrecord~". I know I am not gonna make it because I use 8 channels. Once I start recording, CPU utilities is going to 100% immediatly. 

So I just think if there is any possible to manage the CPU since my computer is dual core. I mean, use playback in one CPU and use record by another. Is is possible work? anyone?
