[maxmsp] "can't fragload (missing) err -4" message on all msp objects

hi all

having massive problems with the maxmsp installation on my new macbook

I get a "can't fragload (missing) err -4" message on all msp objects

first I was importing everyting (incl.maxmsp) from my old powerbook  
titanium
then I thought the problem could come from this (I had the cfm  
support enabled there)
so I removed all max related files I could find from my harddisc,  
including everything I could find in library/perferences/ and also  
user/library preferences/
and did a new installation after emptying trash and restarting the  
computer, but didn't help

any ideas???
