When you say "midi junk" are you really talking about Max event level scheduler stuff? The example I posted showed that poly~ really doesn't have much to do with MIDI. And anyway, dropping down into event mode for controlling allocation of poly~ instances and sending a couple messages to thispoly~ really gets in your way?
