[maxmsp] ambimonitor strange behaviour

hello,

i am encountering a strange behaviour of the otherwise wonderful  
ambimonitor external from the icst-collection:

every points index number seems to be off by +6:
- when i open the helpfile, click on the message-box labeled "set  
some more points", 3 points with the numbers 3, 4 and 5 are created.  
fine.
- when i drag the around, the messageboxes below show their indices  
+6: dragging point 3 shows point 9, point 4 10 etc.

this makes it quite difficult to attach the object to an ambiencode  
with several inlets and control several sources from there.

is someone else seeing this too? am i missing something completely  
obvious?
