Hi, This FMsynthesis sounds interesting. Lately I have been looking more into the bigbird.ins and other instruments for CLM that I mentioned in my first post (http://ccrma.stanford.edu/software/snd/snd/sndclm.html) There are several other animal synthesis there as well. It is basically a sinewavegenerator or some other simple oscillator with complex amplitude and frequency envelopes (based on birdsong analysis I guess). The speed of the envelopes makes both FM and AM I guess. The more I look into these CLM bird song instruments the more impressed I get. They are very convincing and very simple at the same time. I will let you know if I port any of this to max/msp. best asbjørn >Following in the AM/FM vein... Basically a hack of one of the MSP >tute patches on FM synthesis.
