I am running Thunderbird. Do you know how I can teach thunderbird to let 
a .maxpat attachment, which seems to be interpreted as MIME type of bin, 
to open Max? I have no idea, it doesn't seem possible to add to the 
actions of thunderbird in the preferences...
If anybody knows how to do that, please give me a hint, even the 
thunderbird forums don't seem to know (or I am too bad in searching 
forums)...

I am on OS X 10.4.11 and the latest Thunderbird...
