As you are working with Macs, you can use the shutdown command thru  
the [shell] object to shut down, restart or put into sleep computers.  
If your 10 Mac Mini don't run Max, you can probably open shells on the  
clients computers from your central computer with rlogin/rsh/...  
(don't forget to allow Remote login in the firewall).
