Hi all, OK, so for years now I've been pretty content with my buffer-size of choice for sfplay~. No longer do I have the dreaded "immediate-stop-after-start" issues, even for slow harddrives. However in my show control software, since I have admitted defeat (and not so gracefully) wrt accurately syncing multiple sfplay~s at the sample level...I finally decided to add support for files up to 8 channels. But now I am running into the issue again of a sound file playing, then stopping after a few moments...much like the problem I had many moons ago of a buffer size that was too small for stereo files. Right now I've increased my buffer size to 322560. I have RAM to spare, and am happy to increase it, but wanted to see what wisdom existed in the Max collective on this topic. Thanks in advance for any input. Best, David
