Max/MSP-ers -- I have a new LISP interpreter object available for download for those who want to do some serious Processing of Lists (Hey! LISt Processing! Wow!): http://music.columbia.edu/~brad/maxlispj/ This relatively complete implementation of Common Lisp uses the "abcl" java-based interpreter authored by Peter Graves as a base. LISP is a wonderfully elegant language for having all kinds of algorithmic fun. [maxlispj] supercedes my older [maxlisp] object, with greatly improved error-handling, plus it is also available for both OSX and Windows Max/MSP. The standard output from (print)-ing functions as well as the evaluated output of functional expressions is returned to the Max/MSP environment. I've been using this a fair amount during the past few weeks, and it seems very stable. Full source for both the "abcl" java classes and the [maxlispj] java classes is also available. I hope you enjoy this and can find it useful. Happy 2008! Brad Garton Columbia University Computer Music Center http://music.columbia.edu/~brad
