Hi,

only to inform you, that I made this morning a new test with iMac
24', 2,16GHz, Intel Core Duo, 1,5Go, 667MHz bus

OSX 10.4.8, Max 4.6.3

with the exactly same environement:

playback system of 36 channels (16mono, 8stereo and 1quadro)
all files are playing in differents speeds and diredction and regions
same buffers 20160, 40320, 180000

and... no interruption of soundfiles - alla is working without the
problem!

it's exactly the same parameters like iMac20'
the only difference is 0,5GRAM more then with iMac20'...

I tried the iMac 20' in the same time and in Activity Monitor is
show: about 850Mb to 1Gb of RAM is used with max and patch =>
nothing remain from 1Gb RAM and 500Mb is remain on 1,5Gb RAM....

the solution of the problem to play many sfplay is very simple -

put more memory to the computer............. that's all!

;-)
