[maxmsp] can a max application remain in constant focus?

i have designed an application i currently use in a live setting
simulataneously with another application - which i prefer to
run in  fullscreen mode.  at present, i send an applesript message
via midi to return my max app to focus.  and, sometimes it takes
its time.

is there a way to have my max app gui window remain in focus
regardless of any other open applications which are open - particularly
if one of these other apps is in fullscreen?
