I'm with doctor op and pure, I would ditch the PS3 controller and go for something else. I have no experience myself but I have heard tell that it is difficult to get it working. I can however vouch for the fact that PS2 controllers work fine and I have used a number of standard USB game pads with good results and no drivers required. These are both pretty cheap and unless you really need some feature of the PS3 pad, will get you results quickly and simply.
