I completely agree.  I have closed the patch that I was working on  
numerous times when I was really trying to close the DSP status or  
Global transport window.  Very glad this is personalizable, but wish  
the default would not be to float windows.  Command+W should be able  
to nuke anything that looks like a window as far as I'm concerned.  If  
I were on a widescreen, it wouldn't be a problem, but on smaller  
displays, it's helpful to be able to kill windows quickly.

On an off note, my extras have disappeared from the menubar; or  
rather, "Extras" is there, but there's no items when I click on it.   
Anybody else had this happen?
