When I try to import in Ableton some vst done using Pluggo, it gives me errors like: "can't fragload cycle~" etc.. These errors happen tipically when Max CFM is not installed. However, I'm on a Mac Intel so I can't do it...any ideas? I'm using OSX 10.4.10 on a MacBookPro, Ableton Live 5.0.1 and MaxMSP 4.6.3 and PluggoRT 3.6.1. Thank you for helps ps: I also tried to load these plugins in Max using vst~ object, and no errors occur in this way. -- Bruno www.brunozamborlin.com www.myspace.com/brunozamborlin From justin at lowtech.org Fri Aug 3 06:29:41 2007 From: justin at lowtech.org (justin) Date: Fri Aug 3 06:29:43 2007 Subject: [pluggo] Re: Pluggo's vst and Mac Intel In-Reply-To: <1b4b2.46b1f390@www.cycling74.com> Message-ID: <1b519.46b31fb4@www.cycling74.com> i think u got the wrong version of live. if i remember correctly, v501 is rosetta... u need v5.2 something or v6 for UB version plugins made with max in UB wont work whilst the host application is running under rosetta! j From justin at lowtech.org Fri Aug 3 06:32:51 2007 From: justin at lowtech.org (justin) Date: Fri Aug 3 06:32:52 2007 Subject: [pluggo] Re: vst doesn't display text on mac In-Reply-To: <46AA2394.8030303@addcom.de> Message-ID: <1b51a.46b32072@www.cycling74.com> might be obvious, but remember quotation marks when you have spaces "in between words". j ;) Quote: Stefan Tiedje wrote on Fri, 27 July 2007 17:55 ---------------------------------------------------- > luc schrieb: > > Does anybody know what I can do about this? > > I would check two things: fonts and the size of the comment boxes... > (most objects transfered from Win have too small sizes...) > > Stefan > > -- > Stefan Tiedje------------x------- > --_____-----------|-------------- > --(_|_ ----|\-----|-----()------- > -- _|_)----|-----()-------------- > ----------()--------www.ccmix.com > > ---------------------------------------------------- From chris at bathysphere.co.uk Sat Aug 4 05:34:28 2007 From: chris at bathysphere.co.uk (Chris Cousin) Date: Sat Aug 4 05:34:31 2007 Subject: [pluggo] can't run authorisation application? This would allow me to slave any plug-ins parameter, not just Pluggo's, and would multiply its usefulness substantially. Since the manual controls of Pluggo plug-ins already generate these messages, it would seem like a reasonable thing for this to be possible. It can be confusing that fader values are sent out the audio object when you drag a fader in a plugin interface, but this data is more like a copy of the input that the audio object -receives- from any source (mostly automation and the plugin interfaces). Also I didn't succeed in feeding any fader values back into the same audio object to control a plugin in any way. You could of course use max standalone to send midi data to logic that is converted to fader values in the environment.. The trick is in the channel number of the fader message. This can change depending on which slot you have the plugin instanciated on. Here are a couple of ways to combat this issue: 1. Run Disk Utility from Applications/Utilities, and do a verify and fix of permissions on your hard drive. 2. Run FSCK at start up. If you are unfamiliar with such things, check out this tutorial: http://www.osxfaq.com/dailytips/07-2002/07-31.ws 3. If neither of these methods do the job, the most effective method is to set the permissions manually for each plugin. To do this: --Get Info on the Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST/Pluggo folder --Look in the Ownership and Permissions section at the bottom of the Info window --Set all permissions to Read&Write --Click "Apply to Enclosed Items" --You will then need to check the plugins individually to be sure they were set properly. --Repeat as necessary. If you continue to have problems, please send an email to support at cycling74 dot com with your OS, platform, version of Pro Tools, version of Pluggo, and the versions of any other Cycling '74 software you may have installed. All the best, -Ben
