[pluggo] can't run authorisation application?

i re-installed pluggo, mode and hipno on my recently repaired laptop ,its had a new hard dive. intel the machine is 2.19 ghz osx 10.4.10. i've installed plugoio 3.6.1 , mode 1.3.1, hipno 1.1.1, i also have max 4.6.3. i ran the authorisation applications for each and sent off the challenges - my responses have come back but now i am unable to run the authorisation applications for mode or pluggo- i've tried double clicking on the icons and opening then from the finder but with no luck. the hipno authorisation has run ok.

i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling - no change

anyone have suggestions?
