Ah, of course the "one thing I hadn't tried" prior to posting the message: Ran the C74 Plug-in Cleaner.app in the Pluggo 3.6.1 package, then reinstalled Pluggo 3.6.1. This resolved both problems. (Now to see what additional problems I can create...!)
