[pluggo] Re: MIDI notes to effect in Ableton Live

OK, I'm not as much of an idiot as I originally thought; even with the plugmidiin, I'm not getting any note information into my plugin.  

To be clear, my plug is not a synth, so I have not specified the #C synth; line in my plugconfig...  Is that line required?  If so, won't my plugin then be viewed by Live as an instrument, even though it's not??
