unfortunately pluggo behaves differently in every host.

(which only means that pluggo plays in the same league than the market
leader "waves")

back in the days on mac classic pluggo was running as MAS plug-ins, but now
you use them as AU in DP. the result might be that you cant have midi in at
all.
for users of steinberg hosts this is nothing special, [plugmidiin] never
worked in effects for us. in some other hosts it only works for one channel,
or not with every version of the host ... its a lottery.

for midi in (ab)use a synth and pluggobus ...
