OEM Universal Board

Cycling '74 is the U.S. distributor for the Eobody2 OEM Universal Board developed by eowave in Paris, France.

The board is a pre-programmed analog/digital USB converter with 16 digital I/O and 13 analog inputs. It does not require any programming skills to be used. This feature makes it a unique product on the market. It has been programmed to be as versatile as possible, but if you need other specifications, it can easily be reprogrammed.


The board enables you to connect sensors directly to a computer via hispeed USB, with no programming or soldering required. Recognized by your OS as a USB MIDI device, it is easily configurable and compatible with any MIDI software. The versatile firmware makes the Eobody2 Universal Board a powerful and cost effective converter, which can be used for diverse applications such as music, video, robotics, and industry. If the default program does not fit your needs, it is fully customizable with the free, easy-to-use MAC/PC compatible software editor.

All major operating systems (Windows, OS, Linux) include generic MIDI drivers. Eobody2 Universal Board's native MIDI compatibility eases the configuration process. There is no need for proprietary drivers, and it ensures a full compatibility with all MIDI compatible software like Max/MSP, Director, Ableton Live, Steinberg Cubase, Logic Audio, Cakewalk, Isadora, Pure Data, and more. It is a completely plug&play interface.

The board is an especially versatile solution for musicians and performers. You can trigger and modulate sounds and videos, and create new sensor-based instruments with no computer programming background. Other applications include healthcare apps, car simulators, fireworks triggering, robotics and step motors control with the included modules. Additional modules are in development.

The Eobody2 Universal Board software editor increases the versatility of the board by offering powerful signal processing capabilities, I/O configuration, and customized MIDI message assignments.
