Upmix Technical Questions

Which plug-in formats are supported?

VST, Audio Units and RTAS (Pro Tools TDM only) on Macintosh. VST and RTAS (Pro Tools TDM only) on Windows.

Which hosts do you support?

Upmix was designed and tested and is supported on the following hosts.

Macintosh: Cubase SX, Nuendo, Digital Performer, Pro Tools TDM (v6.9 or greater) and MaxMSP. Windows: Cubase SX, Nuendo, Pro Tools TDM (v6.9 or greater) and MaxMSP.

Why so few hosts?

These are the only hosts which currently support multiple channel plug-ins. If you have information about a host which you believe should be supported but is not mentioned here, please send us a note.

My host has been upgraded and now supports multi-channel plug-ins. Can I use UpMix now?

Sure, as long as it supports the correct formats. If you encounter problems, please let us know.

Which Copy Protection scheme does UpMix use?

UpMix uses Pace copy protection software. You may authorize via Challenge/Response, or you may request an asset for your iLok. Complete instructions can be found here.
