I'm working on a tree vibration installation and receiving live data from two ADXL345 accelerometers via the serial object in Max/MSP.

The data comes in as six float values per reading:

I'd like to record this data and play it back later for prototyping the sonification without needing the physical sensors connected.

1. Record and playback directly inside Max

2. Save to CSV and read it back in Max later

What would be the recommended approach for this kind of multi-channel float data? Any patches or objects you'd suggest?

Nothing that I've tried worked.   If ZL objects, Bags, and the Coll object don't work, do I need to move on to the bulkier Dict object?  It seems like such a primitive function of programming, I'll be surprised if I'm not missing something completely obvious?   

Ultimately, I abandoned the idea and simplified to one contiguous pitch range, just choosing random numbers in a range.

I want to create a MFL device that can play Clips in the Track it is sitting in. 

I imagined this to consist essentially of a series of ON/OFF buttons that I can map to macros in Live, then save each one in its ON state as a series of scenes which I can play using a Markov chain device I have. 

This sounds convoluted but for now, if I can get this working, I'd be satisfied with the result until I'm skilled enough to develop something more nuanced.

It seemed simple enough to try to build myself (my first mistake), so I reached out to Gemini to give me some basic instructions (second mistake).

Ai can't do non-linear logic well at all and it's especially bad at teaching, so this hasn't yielded anything that works.

Take a look at what was created after hours of back and forth - needless to say, hitting the buttons does nothing to the channels clips in Live:

This is my first post - I've only very generally familiar with Max programming so please try to explain what's going wrong in super easy language if possible.

I'm using noise to position multiple instances of two different shapes in 3D space. In Gen I'm sorting the noise based on it being greater than or less than 0.5 so I have two black and white matrices which are then multiplied by normalised coordinates to get the position values. As there are a number of cells that have a value of 0 in each position matrix, a lot of the shapes are positioned at 0,0. 

Is there a way to only pass values greater than 0 to the jit.gl.multiple objects in my patch?
