I'm in a time crunch (as always) and my Max just hasn't been performing properly the past couple months and I have an increase in seemingly corrupt patches and objects (or simple objects aren't behaving the way they should be).

A month ago I had an issue where for a client an object simply stopped working. After 3 hours I assumed that perhaps the patch was somehow corrupt and I had to surgically delete entire blocks of code until I found the issue. 

Last night, my patch is working fine. Nothing changes, load it up today and the line object isn't going to its destination. In fact, no line objects work properly. Attached is my current patch with this issue. Is it the same on anyone else's computer? ,I'm trying to determine whether it's the patch, Max, or my computer. Additionally, patch cables are simply freezing and not "connecting" to objects but to random parts in the background.

When I change 'title' to 'no title' using thispatcher - the [active] message bangs 

probably there are other instances of this happening I haven't traced yet

I use [active] to trigger time sensitive events when I activate a patch 

how can I stop thispatcher events from triggering [active] object?

Also, window flags float 1 is causing the previous active patch to reactivate when using closebang on a subsequent patch

--open both patches - select one then select the other one - close the one that is selected and the previous patch becomes active--

If all windows are floating - is there a way to have 'none' [active] when closing any window?

(Or I guess have one 'non-funtional' default window that absorbs the [active] object when any random window is closed or not clicked on?) - that would be that Cadillac of possibilities - [closebang] had an attribute that routed it to [next.active] or [this.active]

jeez - thinking while writing - maybe the [closebang] -> [t b b b] 1. disables ALL floating in all patches - 2. performs necessary functions - 3 (with delay?) then re-enables floating ? 

Ok - closebang - t  b 0 - disable float of current patch (stops looking for other patch), then perform tasks with b [delay 10]. no need to refoloat - that happens when patch is loaded. -- not 100%

With the example provided in the above mentioned documentation, it's all hunky dory and everything works as expected, including the mentioned 'transform'-command from the object's dropdown-menu. None of this works anymore, whether using the deprecated (?) 

So, I am quite lost and would like to map all the helpfiles and refpages set up to their jsui/v8ui objects again. What can I do?

I have  created a quick 'TEST'-package to make sure I am not missing anything and to allow others to reproduce:

Hi! I am creating a series of M4L devices that use the same open gl context name. The context name is made out of the track id where the devices are sitting.  I have a device that I call "source" which is the one with the jit.world, and when I place this device alone in a track in Ableton, the jit.world window have the name of the context correct, and when I add the other devices to the same track, they all project into the same jit.world window. The problem comes when I close ableton project and open it again, then the jit.world window have a u<random number> type of name. I delete the other devices and the problem is solved. I can´t figure out why that is happening. I attached the source device and the other 2 devices patch.

I don't really own a mpe instrument, but I am trying to expand a Max For Live device that uses the live.step to use the extra1&2 values to effect MPE parameters in ableton instruments.  eq with the Wavetable Instrument. 

I'm only interested in Monophonic MPE out.

I'm having trouble understanding a couple things. 

1) In the midiformat object, what is the difference between "Polyphonic (Key) Aftertouch" and "After Touch"?  

in inlet2, that its (pressure, pitch) when I believe its (pitch pressure) 

What are both commonly used for? Is AfterTouch (inlet 5) used for 'Pressure' commonly?

When I edit pitchbend data in midiformat->mpeformat (inlet 1)  it usually registers on the MIDI Tab of the Wavetable Instrument, under 'PB'. In an effort to affect the MPE 'Note PB', the only time i could get that to respond was when editing pitchbend in one of the specific Note Channel Inputs, ie input 2, 3, 4. Why is this? Just trying to understand.
